    The Center's publications

    In addition to the training and various activities, the center has some publications on the calligraphic Arts and written heritage such as the acts of congress, catalog of inscriptions and edition of manuscripts.

    However, the most important publication of the center is her magazine named "Fannu al-dhâd". It’s the first edition was published in November 2001 and its main concern is to define the Arabic calligraphy and the different studies made around this theme.

    A group of researchers and calligraphers participated in the first publication of this magazine. The articles included a set of important researches like "The creation of calligraphy and its evolution" written by professor Monji Ammar, "The beauty of Maghrebean calligraphy through some manuscripts from the National Library of Tunis" written by professor Tarak Abid, "Arabic calligraphy rules" written by professor Mustapha Kilani, "Towards recording the history of Arabic calligraphy in Tunisia" written by Mohamed Sadok Abdelatif and "the Arabic calligraphy and its beauty" written by the calligrapher Amor Jomni. This edition was illustrated by beautiful pictures that were called "Creative calligraphies of Tunisian artists".

    As requested from specialists in this field, a scientific committee will be designated to study the possibility to continue the publication of this magazine and to evaluate articles that would be published both printed and online versions.

    Thus, in 2015 the center starts to publish every six months a newsletter entitled "Akhbâru al-dhâd" in which are diffused the information related to the activities, to the training, to the foreign participations and to the visits of the center, as well as the announcement of the next activities and the presentation of the publications received from various national and international universities and cultural institutions.
