In addition to training sessions in calligraphic arts ending with an annual exhibition of the participants' works during the whole year, the Center organizes temporary, as well as travelling exhibitions, workshops, lectures, cultural meetings, Calligraphic days of Muhammad Salah Khammasî and calligraphy club meetings. The Center also participates in different national and international events like the month of Heritage, Expolangues and the international Day of Arabic language. The Center is very open to the other institutions as it accepts all the calls for participations in cultural events.
It also worth mentioning that the Center gives much attention to foreign visitors, as it also schedules an open doors day for non-Arabic speakers in order to give them the opportunity to learn more about our cultural heritage and to encourage them to be more interested in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic art.
The Center's responsible is going to gather some equipment used in Arabic calligraphy and Islamic decoration, like slabs, canes, traditional dishes for ink. etc. Such effort is made in order to create a small museum showing our cultural heritage and our Arabic and Islamic identity.
As the Center is willing to make its premises accessible to children, an annual event under the theme of "Young calligraphers" will be organized. Such event aims at attracting young people who are interested in calligraphy, making them love our cultural heritage, and encouraging them to be more creative.
In 2015, the National Center of Calligraphy started to organize a Study Day per year dedicated to the written cultural heritage through showing, presenting, studying and analyzing different writings.
